First Day in Rome

Zach and I have just returned from our holiday in Italy, and had the best time! These pictures are from my first day in Rome, although Zach was already quite the local! Wasting no time, after a quick cappuccino, we were off! We walked down to town through Trestavere, saw the Piazza Navona, ate amazing pizza, and ended up at the Pantheon! A pretty great start.

Upon arriving- the rooftop at Zach's apartment.

My first view of the city, as we headed down into Trastavere.

My first Italian pizza! It is said to be one of the best pizzas in Rome, and I agree! It is so busy that there is a constant line-up to get in, and you sit with random people at your table to save space. Luckily we sat with a lovely couple from Connecticut, and had a really great time with them!

After dinner at the Pantheon. This building, while now a Christian church, is still as it was, more or less, 2,000 years ago!
