On the Road Again!!
The beginning of our trip that would take us through three provinces and eight states before arriving home in Ithaca.
Our goal was to head out of Saskatoon by 8:00am, and by 8:02 we were on the road!
We planned to stop for gas as soon as we got out of the city. There had to be gas stations on the outskirts, right? But, this is Saskatoon, and two hours later we still hadn't found a single gas station! Until we came upon this:
Perhpas the cutest gas station in absolutely the middle of nowhere! This gas station was definitely a highlight of the trip for me! But, nonetheless, we left Saskatchewan...
...and arrived in Manitoba!
Manitoba was to be the last place we would see in Canada, but little did we know how often we would return before finally making it to North Dakota!! Our first attempt to cross the border failed, as we didn't pay the fee for our visas, so we had to return back to Canada-joining the hundreds of cars returning from their weekends down south! But, after waiting for only a few minutes, a nice woman let us cut in line, and we were back in the motherland to find a computer! Having succeeded we returned back to the States, where this time they let us in! 2 hours to cross the border-- we were very happy when we found this:
And so ended the first day!
